7 Days, 50 Men, 2 Cranes, One Army Truck and 2 Low Loaders to get out of the Poo

A massive and very dramatic rescue lasting seven days to recover a Lane group Jet Vac Lorry after it fell through a bridge in Funtley near Fareham concluded today. A 50ft crane was brought in on Friday to free the stranded lorry but the work space was too restrictive. Shortly after 9 a.m this morning Ninety homes and business had power restricted to there premises for five hours whilst specialist and a new crane worked closely to overhead high voltage power cables. A total of Fifty People worked on safely recovering the Lorry despite the rain and wind lashing down from 7am this morning. The crane laden with 40 tonnes of ballast swung its boom across the River Meon 50 foot in the air with heavy duty strops in attempt to free the trapped 32 tonne lorry. Shortly after 5pm the lorry was driven away on the back of a low loader to a Heathrow location to be checked for internal damage and repairs. We were granted exclusive access to the site to follow the delicate operation and this is what we saw. DAHA FAZLA GÖSTER
